eXPerimental 360 Engine

The XP-360 Engine is a brand new, “zero-time” four-cylinder 360 cubic inch engine designed to meet the demands of discerning homebuilders and experimental aircraft kit manufacturers. Created with all the advancements Superior is famous for, the XP-360 Engine delivers a level of safety and performance that is well ahead of anything in its class. It may look like the typical Lycoming parallel, large-bore O-360/IO-360, but that’s where any comparison ends.

Superior’s XP-360 Engine includes the latest improvements in component design and manufacturing technology and is created with a blending of FAA-approved engine parts, and other custom enhancements, that are not available on standard Lycoming factory engines.

In addition, Superior Air Parts warranties the XP-360 Engine to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a full ONE (1) YEAR, with an option to purchase additional coverage to increase the warranty to three (3) years.

Vantage Engine

The Vantage Engine is the first aircraft piston engine to be designed, built and FAA Certified in the United States in nearly 50-years. It represents a true advancement in four-cylinder engine technology, reliability and performance. It sets the standard by which all engines will be measured – including being the first engine of its type to be certified in the U.S. to run on unleaded automotive gasoline.
The Vantage Engine is truly a hallmark in technology and manufacturing innovation. The vast majority of parts offer significant improvements in design, materials and manufacturing when compared to other OEM engines. These advantages enable the Vantage Engine to provide a higher level of performance, quality, reliability and value than the earlier-generation piston engines it is destined to replace.

Unlike Superior’s XP-360 experimental engine, the Vantage Engine has been created and certified to meet the demands of aircraft manufacturers and will soon be offered on a variety of production airframes.
